The Mid Canterbury Spin and Soak
Our brand new tour will start from May 6 2025. We are so excited about this tour.
Welcome to the newest tour in Canterbury, this tour is the perfect day escape from Christchurch City. The tour begins from Christchurch City before we head inland towards the Rakaia Gorge. We will stop for a stretch and coffee along the way before arriving at the Rakaia Gorge where you will go for a stunning jet boat ride up through the Rakaia Gorge. The limestone cliffs, stunning blue coloured glacial waters and superb drivers make this a journey to remember. The jet boat ride takes 45 minutes.
After the jet boating we head into Methven for lunch at the iconic Blue Pub. This is a wonderful spot and one of New Zealand's iconic pubs nestled in the Mid Canterbury heartland.
Following a wonderful pub lunch we go to Opuke Hot Pools where you can soak and relax for 2 hours in the beautiful pools. Enjoy the swim up bar or just relax and take in the rural and mountainous views.
Day spa packages are available on request. Treatments must be arranged for within the time we have allocated at Opuke. Chat to us about these options. Subject to availability. Payments for spa treatments are to be made direct to Opuke on the day.
We will make our way back to Christchurch, returning by, approximately, 1730.
This tour will only operate on weekdays. Minimum numbers are required to operate the tour.
What's included:
Pickup and drop off from Cathedral Square, Christchurch City
45 minute jet boat ride at the Rakaia Gorge
Lunch at the Blue Pub (food included as part of the package, drinks can be purchased direct additionally)
2 hour soak in the Opuke Hot Pools
One drink at Opuke Hot Pools, additional food and/or drinks are to purchased direct and must be settled before departure

Not included:
Day spa treatments at Opuke. Spa treatments are available on request and can be paid for direct on the day. The spa treatments must be arranged within the timeframe we have at Opuke, no additional time will be added to the day if spa treatments fall outside the allotted 2 hours we have at Opuke.
Additional drinks and/or food at Opuke Hot Pools
We will take 15 to 18 guests, a minumum number of 4 guests required to operate the tour.
